BURLESON—With the help of a large crane, workers place the first headend building April 3 at United’s Burleson office.
Workers battled biting cold winds and drizzling rain as a cold front blew through just before the building became airborne.
This building, weighing about 76,000 pounds, is one of two that will contain equipment required to run United’s high-speed internet project. The second headend was installed at the Stephenville Office days later.
Both will house the main trunk lines, providing extra redundancy and integrity to United’s internet network as we build it out over the next five years.
