UNITED ELECTIONS: LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD
A key principal of the cooperative business model is local governance. The Bylaws of the cooperative specifies detail as to how the governance of the cooperative works; director elections are an important step to ensure members have their voice included in the governance and thus operations of the cooperative.
In accordance with the United Electric Cooperative Services bylaws the Committee on Nominations met at the United Electric Cooperative Services headquarters office per board approval, and in compliance with policy No. 1080 of United’s policy manual, at 3309 N. Main St., Cleburne, Texas on April 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The Committee duly nominated the following people for directors, to be voted on by ballot. Final votes and the elected directors will be announced at the Annual Meeting of the Cooperative, which will be held virtually, currently scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2026:
- District 1—Harry Thompson
- District 2—Eric Carlson

- Kay Hock
The Bylaws of the cooperative allows for Candidates by Petition from the membership as well. Applications for Director Candidate by Petition must be turned in by the July 1, 2026, deadline.
