WHEN TREES MUST BE REMOVED
We use several factors to determine if a tree needs to be removed, including its structural integrity and the amount of trimming required.
Trees located near individual service lines that are in need of being removed are the responsibility of the property owner. United will send a crew to drop the service line so that private tree contractors can safely perform the work.
There are also several considerations in determining if brush should be removed.
- Will it eventually grow into power lines?
- Can crews access United infrastructure by bucket truck? A clear path must be available to make repairs and restore power.
- Does the brush provide a screen or sound barrier?
