Sharay Boynton is honored to have the opportunity to represent District 6. She graduated from Granbury High School and received her BA in Accounting from Tarleton State University. From 1987-1991, she practiced public accounting in a local Metroplex firm specializing in tax planning and received her Certified Public Accountant license in 1989. From 1991 to 2014 she served as the Director of Finance of Granbury ISD. Sharay retired from Birdville ISD as Director of Business in 2021 after serving a total of 30 years in local school districts and Texas charter school business operations. Sharay was married to the late Stephen Boynton for 38 years. They raised their two sons, Stoney and Slade, in Granbury. She has been a continuous member of the United Coop since 1984. Sharay is also the Local Coordinator of the AARP Tax Aide program in Hood County. She also serves as the Treasurer of the Paluxy Baptist Association and is a member of Acton Baptist Church having served as the finance committee chair, mission trip team member and currently various other ministry roles.
