RUSSELL YOUNG began his career at United in 2009. Prior to that, he completed an internship with United amidst a brief stint in the Cleveland Indians’ minor league system. Through this internship, Mr. Young developed a passion for the member-focused nature of the electric cooperative model.
Mr. Young is responsible for the preparation and reporting of United’s financial statements, budgets and financial forecasts, securing financing for distribution system growth, and oversight of the work order system and payroll. United’s purpose is to serve the membership, and a critical component of that service is to ensure the cooperative is financially strong. United believes this can be done while also striving to keep overall costs down through industry-leading efficiency and productivity.
Mr. Young is a graduate of Cleburne High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and completed post-baccalaureate studies in Accounting through Tarleton State University. He and his wife are members of The Village Church in Fort Worth.
